Can anyone explain trailing arm three link geometry and how to find its instantaneous center, roll center , motion ratio and what are the advantages and disadvantages, and can you justify which is better among trailing arm three link and double wishbone suspension in rear
pls send me material regarding trailing arm three link suspension if you have EMAIL ID: satishkumar.yadala2012@vit.ac.in Edited by satishkumaryadala - Aug/22/2014 at 2:11pm |

No one is going to just send you a design, Baja SAE suspension designs take months of research and development to create and years to finely tune. if you want the results, do the work yourself. As for the other questions you have, please search this forum and the Google to find your answers. Also try and pick up a vehicle dynamics book or two. They are really helpful and have a huge amount of information, however it will take a lot of research to fully understand it if you are just starting into vehicle dynamics. I recommend RCVD as a good place to start. It can be purchased through SAE International for a discounted price here and they ship fast.
Also, in the future please try to refrain from posting the same thing several times in different threads. This is spamming and it clogs up the forums and makes searching for information much more difficult and time consuming as now if i search for "three link" with the search function, 6 posts will come up from you that are all the same and don't have any pertinent information. Cheers and good luck on your research and design. 1 more thing, grab a software such as lotus suspension analysis, create a basic 3-link in it and play around with the hard points to visually see how they react to various changes. EDIT: Also why have you set yourself on using the three link if you know so little about it? what research did you do to set yourself on it? why not Wishbones, trailing arm, semi-trailing arm, swingarm, macpherson strut? if you say "because a lot of other teams use it" id rethink your choice and reasons especially since this is your first suspension design.

we are not here to justify stuffs in your favor... Go through the suspension books and do some brain storming about the characteristics you want in your car due to suspension. Then, figure out which type of suspension suits you best and start designing...
Good luck!!..
