We feel that the spring inside the engine is faulty and the throttle does not go back to the idle position(it travels more than 3/4 of the distance but doesn't reach complete idle). This problem has occurred even without attaching the cable to the throttle.

Please advice on a solution or is it acceptable in using the same.

It is definitely not acceptable to have your vehicle crawl when the throttle is not being operated.

The solution to this is to get the spring replaced/fixed.

P.S: There is no need to open two separate threads for the same issue.

Hey,

Sure we will get that fixed but where do we find a new spring?

Sorry for the thread I didn't realize it

I would guess from the people who supplied your engine?

or any generic hardware store. for the throttle return spring, you do not need to use the original spring. you can change it out with a stronger one IIRC
