Hello
We had a question on B8.3.8.2 for Rear Bracing. When it states that point B, point S, and point R need to create a structural triangle, is FABup allowed to be a bent member? We have attached a link with a photo of our current rear system, if you would please look. Currently our FABmid attaches to R1, however would R2 or R3 work with the rules? https://gonzagau-my.sharepoint.com/personal/vindaco_zagmail_gonzaga_edu/_layouts/15/guestaccess.aspx?guestaccesstoken=l6umf24leWxPvvamn0O0DAOQYE7Epvs3chfbW0pvTLU%3d&docid=0cacb1baf209045b99bfa133d90e428d3 Thanks

I would assume that as long As the member meets the bent member criteria then it would be allowed however your best bet is to submit a rules question or submit your frame geometry paperwork for verification frome rules officials

As per my knowledge it is the bent portion of the tube which is more prone to damage because any impact would make the deformation happen at the bends. I see that the positioning of FAB mid somewhere around R3 would make the structure stronger... Plz correct me if im wrong..
