This is probably one of those questions that nobody can be sure about, but...

How can I be sure that one Polaris Sportsman model's  calipers will fit on another's knuckles?

Specifically, I'm trying to put 2006 Sportsman 500 HO rear calipers on 2007 Sportsman 700 EFI rear knuckles, but I want some re-assurance before I buy them on eBay... I asked at our Polaris dealership and "Depends" is pretty much what they could tell me.

Anyone have an idea by chance?

Thanks!

Unless they are the same part number, you won't know for sure.

For example, when we moved from predator uprights to outlaw, the caliper changed mounting spacing because they redesigned the calipers with 2 pistons.

If the mount spacing and the disk OD looks similar then you might get lucky.

So my response won't give you a definite answer... but when I was on the team, Polaris changed something on the calipers.  I thought I was getting the same thing that we used the previous year, but the mounting was different.  All I had to do was make a new bracket thing (the gold zinc plated part) and they mounted right up.
