Must the anti-submarine belt have a minimum width?

The rule says 2.0 in (51mm) but some teams own a 45mm anti-submarine belt. Is that a problem?

The rulebook is pretty clear in that aspect. I do not see what the confusion is.

If the rulebook says "x" and you have a "y", it will of course create a problem.
