Dear Baja teams,
The only
winter Baja competition in Canada is back at Université Laval for its 10th
edition! Join us for the Épreuve du Nord on February 6th and 7th
2015! Last year, more than 28 Bajas from Québec, Ontario and the United States
took part in the competition! Come to demonstrate you team’s skills by
confronting the snowy and icy course!
Here is what
to expect for the 10th edition of the Épreuve du Nord :
Inspection
Teams are asked to arrive on Friday morning for inspection. Make sure
the vehicle has:
- Passed Tech 2010 or sooner
- SFI rated 2010 or sooner seat belts
- Snell approved helmet
- Working brakes (static check)
- Working brake light
- Two working kill switches
- Proper powertrain guards
- Governor set at 3800 rpm
The official 2015 rules will be available soon!
Qualifications
Two
qualifying events will be held simultaneously on Friday 6th for maximum action.
These qualification events will allow each team to demonstrate its potential
and its driver’s skills. Once again this year, the best performances will be
rewarded as the griding for the final event is based on the results of the
qualifications.
Soirée du Nord
This year,
be prepared for a more interesting evening that will allow teams to interact
and relax before the endurance race. We will also be announcing the results of the
qualifications!
The race
A two hours
endurance race where all Baja cars will battle in the snow and ice to bring
home trophy and glory will conclude the event. The track will still be hosted
on Université Laval’s Grand Axe, with more features and challenges to test the
limits of your Baja. This is a unique opportunity to prepare your team for the
upcoming competitions and to live a memorable racing weekend!
To register,
please send an e-mail to mailto:president@epreuvedunord.ca" rel="nofollow - . We will send you all the
information and documentation that you need. In order to make it possible for
as many teams as possible to compete, the registration is totally free. Every team
can register as many cars as they want as long as they meet the safety rules. Teams
are encouraged to compete with more than one Baja!
