Upto last year we used to have plunge on both sides i.e. Tyre side and gearbox side. This year we are going for plunge only on one side(preferably gearbox side), What are the issues with plunge only on one side? If so, Should i use plunge on tyre side fixing gearbox side?

the only downside in plunge only on one side is you will likely have less plunge than you currently do. with proper collaboration between the suspension team and the driveline team, the position of the output shaft and cv joints can be such that plunge can be brought to a minimum.  skip this step and you will see large amounts of plunge.
