In many books I saw maximum acceleration given as

Max acc=(tractive force available-tractive resistance)/(total mass of vehicle*rotational                                                                                                                                     inertia coefficient)
I got every value except the rotational inertia coefficient for each gear,in some books this rotational inertia coefficient(RIC) is avoided.
Can anyone plz tell whether it is relevant or not..??

For each gear it is different and i saw that itz value falls around 0.5 to 1.5 in passenger cars..but what about baja vehicles..??ConfusedConfusedConfused
