just wanted to confirm what unit is #/IN in spring calculations... its there on polaris sites what does it mean please help.

Its measured in Force per distance. So it could be pounds per inch or newtons per meters or newtons per millimeter...

Good grief. That's a standard unit for measuring spring rate. Do some research on your own. Ask a teacher. Read a book.

i did my research but try searchin for it in google its not there... hence the question and thank you all for ur replies even i did my calculations acc to pounds perinch :)

I think the language barrier wins this one. If you don't know that "#" means "pound", then "#/in" is quite perplexing. Not sure I'd be able to deduce the equivalent if I were English as a second language. |

Not being a native english speaker...I didn't get it at first. I made the connection with the pound key on a phone...
