Is there any specific angle that has to be given to the tie rods while connecting it to the steering arms?Does the tie rods bind and get inverted if placed inline with the steering arm?

What you are referring to is overcentering. Overcentering can be pretty detrimental to the suspension assembly. When designing your geometry, it would do well to check and see how close you get to the point of overcentering. If the parts have already been manufactured, I'd recommend throwing in a steering stop (essentially a rubber block) to prevent the upright from turning far enough to overcenter.
