The rules of EBAja Sae india suggest that we should use a 3 phase induction motor that has specs. 6kW, 6000rpm and torque of 35Nm. Even after much effforts, the team could not find motors of the given specifications. Can anyone suggest models of such motors available in market or any industry which makes such type of motors?
Any other suggestions on the topic would be appreciated..

Yes, indeed!
Started a couple of years back actually! The cars aren't quite up to the mark yet when compared to the normal Baja cars, but they are making progress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pVoEgn6ahg

Interesting, I cant find anything about it on the BAJA SAE INDIA site. Do the cars run and are scored alongside the regular cars or do they run separately like FSAE Electric?
I think this is absolutely awesome. Hopefully the US comps will follow suit. I know our school is huge into hybrid and electric research and we have been asked a couple times if we can convert. anyways, to look at the original question, are those specs the requirements or suggestions?

The cars run separate and they only compete against each other. Their endurance is also on a different and an easier track.
Well, we can always have some US teams come over and participate at E BAJA SAEINDIA. I mean, if many teams are interested, I can have a word with the chief organiser and make some arrangements to facilitate the logistics and participation. Those are requirements by the way.
