Hey I was wondering if we are allowed to have members with a bend of over 30 degrees? In the rules it says that "Roll cage members which are not straight must not extend longer than 711 mm (28 in.) between supports. Small bend
radii (<152 mm, 6 in.) at a supported end of a member are expected, and are not considered to make a member notstraight.
The minor angle between the two ends of a not-straight tube must not exceed 30°"  Can someone help clarify this.

it means the tube is not considered to be continuous when there's a 30 degree bend or more

SO does that mean if your tube is not continuous, you must support it with another member somewhere in the middle? For example when using a tube with a 45 degree bend you would brace it at the bend?

QUOTE=FelixB]it means the tube is not considered to be continuous when there's a 30 degree bend or more[/QUOTE]My take on that is bends over 30* are fine, so long as the angle between the two ends of the tubes is under 30*. An example would be ASU's roll hoop, which looks like it has bends of up to 60*, but if you compare the angle of the two ends of the roll hoop vertical member, it's probably something like 15*.

Where is the email to write to SAE, we are new and we are trying to go to the 2019 competition, we are Venezuelans.
We do not correctly understand many of the points of the rule, especially b.3.2.1

This is our first experience with BAJA SAE.
Please help us.

Guys, excuseme again.!! Please.
There is something that I must clarify we are not registered as a team, we are literally starting and for that reason it does not allow us to enter certain privileges of the account. I want to write directly to SAE to clarify this bridge b.3.2.1 and b..3.2.4. If there is someone who masters the subject please help us but explain how we write directly to SAE.

Please help.we are not yet SAE team

You could try a couple things,
1) try connecting with the CDS team on facebook and see if they can offer an option for how you can contact the technical inspection team outside of using the official rules clarification form

2) post an in depth question regarding exactly what part of these rules you are struggling with, on this forum, and someone may be willing to help you out with your understanding.
