Hello!

Our team is seeking to install an alternator onto our car this year but we have been running into some issues. We purchased the 20A alternator option (part no. 790320) and the associated voltage regulator (part no. 790325). After installing the alternator in the engine and connecting the voltage regulator to the alternator, we were unable to measure a voltage across the wire coming from the voltage regulator with respect to the kill switch ground. We tried at engine idle and at engine max rpm (and several speeds in between) with negligible change in the reading.

For reference: we used the following video as a guide when installing the alternator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-8FPDk_I3U

Any insight as to what we are doing wrong? Did we miss something while installing the alternator? Is there a different point we should be using as ground? All help is appreciated. Thank you!

The ground of the regulator is on it's body so that when you bolt it to a metallic part of the frame, the whole thing is grounded.

you will need to install flywheel part number 794812.

OEM does not have magnets inside flywheel housing
